In this year's guide to the winter season, we've focused on things to do. Much like the government's odd, grammatical anti-obesity campaign ("VERB: It's what you do"), City wants you to get out and get moving. Build an igloo, go to a museum, learn to ski, attend festivals, and absorb as much art, theater, dance, movies, and music as humanly possible.
Why did we do this? Why did we avoid pieces on hot chocolate and fireside reading and other cozy things?
Because we know one fact very important to surviving an upstate winter: Stasis equals death. In other words, you can't freeze if you keep moving.
