The Stickle quilt has inspired books, exhibits and quilters world-wide. Often referred to as the "Dear Jane" quilt, this illustrated talk will explore the history of this 1863 creation and its maker. The topics of female education, the Civil War, country fairs, disability, textile manufacture, poverty and museum collecting will be discussed by speaker Callie Raspuzzi of the Bennington Museum (VT) during this virtual (Zoom) event.
