CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

Toddler Time:
Mondays, 11:00 am to 11:30 am
Stories, rhymes, songs, and more for toddlers ages 2-3 and their caregivers.
Widget the Reading Dog and her Pal Joey:
Mondays, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Meet licensed therapy dogs Widget and Joey and read them a story.
Babies and Books:
Tuesdays, 10:30 am to 11:15 am
Stories, songs, and rhymes, followed by time to socialize and play. For babies and toddlers up to 24 months.
Preschool Activity Club:
Tuesdays, 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
Here’s your chance to do some fun art activities without worrying about the mess. For ages 2-5.
Preschool Story Time:
Thursdays, 10:15am to 10:45am & 11:00am to 11:30am

Baby’s Morning Out:
Friday, March 1, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
Babies, toddlers, and their caregivers are welcome to join us for a variety of sensory activities, toys, and a craft.
Lego Club*:
Friday, March 1, 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Join fellow builders for some creative Lego fun. Grades K-5. *Registration required.
Fat Tuesday Family Mardi Gras Event*:
Tuesday, March 5, 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm
Bring your family to the library, decorate a “float,” make a mask, and have a Mardi Gras parade around the library.
Science Story Time:
Wednesdays, March 6 and 20, 11:30 am to 12:15 pm
Stories, songs, and more followed by a fun science experiment. Ages 2-5.
Homeschool Hour:
Thursday, March 7, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Meet other home school families and talk about the joys and challenges of homeschooling.
N.E.R.D.S*:
Thursdays, March 14 and 28, 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Too old for kids’ stuff, but not ready for teen stuff? Then the New Experiences and Remarkable Discoveries Society is for you! Each meeting we’ll have something new for you to try. Grades 4-8. *Registration required.
Pajama Story Time:
Tuesday, March 19, 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Have a fun evening out in your pajamas with some stories, songs, and rhymes. Stuffed animal friends and siblings welcome. Ages 2-5.
Playdough Playtime:

Stay after story time or just join us for some fun with different kinds of playdough.
Toddler Preschool Dance Party:

Grab your dancing shoes and head to the library to groove to some fun songs. For ages 2-5. Older and younger siblings welcome.
All Ages Lego Club*:

Grab your friends and spend some of your day off from school playing with the library’s large collection of LEGOs. *Registration requested.

We’ll read some stories, then have some fun at the library with a variety of play stations. For ages 2-5. Older siblings welcome.

Teen Library Corps:

Our high school volunteer group helps the library in many ways. Join TLC to plan and present programs for older teens. Volunteer at library events. Grades 9-12.
BRATS—Brilliant Readers Active in Teen Service:
Wednesday, March 13, 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm
Lots of energy, lots of help, lots of fun—that’s what middle schoolers are. We want you to be a BRAT, help out at the library and plan fun things for our group to do. Grades 6-8.
Teen Writing Group:
Mondays, March 4 & 18, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
A welcoming group for imaginative and creative people in grades 6-12. A group made for teens who like to play with words and stories. Join us as we write, laugh and learn together.
Anonymous Otaku—Anime Club:
Fridays, March 8 & 22, 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Fans of Japanese animation are welcome to share snacks and watch an anime movie with other fans.
Teen Improv Troupe:

Read and discuss books that have been turned into movies. This month we will be reading "The Fifth Wave" by Rick Yancey. Copies of this month's book are available at the library. New members welcome. Refreshments will be provided. *Registration is requested.
Forts & Fun!*
Friday, March 22, 6:00 pm– 9:00 pm
Join our fort building competition. You and your friends create a team of 4 or fewer. Bring your own stuff - blankets, sheets, clothespins, clips. Prize for the best fort. Ice cream sundaes!! Grades 9-12 *Registration required.

Tech Tutor*:

Instapot Demo: Dump and Go Recipes*:

Did you receive an Electric Pressure Cooker (EPC) for a gift and haven't used it yet? Come to a LIVE DEMONSTRATION of how to use an EPC and enjoy a simple meal of Vegan and non-Vegan foods, homemade breads to round out the meal and some socialization. Please bring your own place-setting of a plate, soup bowl, cold drink glass, and eating utensils. *Registration Required
Fat Tuesday Family Mardi Gras Event*:

Come to the library and let the good times roll! Join forces with your family to decorate a book cart "float" and make some Mardi Gras masks before you participate in a Carnival parade around the library! Healthcare Navigator/CCSI*:

Oscar Movie Night is back and we will be screening the current Best Picture Nominees for 2019. This month we will start with "Black Panther" and “BlacKkKlansman.” Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
Fiber Spinning and Knitting Group:

Improv for Writers and Creatives*:

Shake off creative cobwebs and break through writer's block with this great workshop. We'll use improv games and exercises to explore characters, story, and setting, with an emphasis on learning new ways to develop and expand creative ideas. *Registration required.
