Moving into Courage when Tyranny Threatens: Claiming our Rights and Responsibilities as Citizens

When: Sun., Jan. 6, 1:30-4 p.m. 2019

The event will be held at 1010 East Ave. (the brick building immediately west of Asbury Church). We will explore the signs of tyranny, how we can distinguish between religious freedom and the abuse of religious power, our constitutional rights as applied to 21st-Century America, how the abuses of power are personally affecting us, and how we can move from a sense of powerlessness to creative, courageous action. Sponsored by Pachamama Alliance's Seeds of Hope, and joined by Scott Forsyth, an attorney in private practice with decades of involvement with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
