COMEDY | ‘Thanksgridiron Faceoff’

by

Thanksgiving is usually centered on three things: food, family, and football. Geva Comedy Improv is trying to add one more 'f' to the list: funny. The group's second show of its 14th season, "Thanksgridiron Faceoff," is a gravy-filled grudge match between two imaginary football teams of comedians: the Fightin' Pilgrims and the Turkey Gobblers. The show is completely unscripted, so the troupe of six local actors will be flying by the seat of their pants (or tails) through a series of lightning-fast games, songs, and hijinks, stuffing in as many jokes as they can along the way.

"Thanksgridiron Faceoff" takes place Friday and Saturday, November 24 and 25, at 8:30 p.m. on the Fielding Stage at Geva Theatre (75 Woodbury Boulevard). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 232-4382 or online at gevacomedyimprov.org. The show contains strong language and adult content and is recommended for ages 18 and up.
